Garden Centre Christmas Wonderland

Christmas spirit is all round, from the overstocked with festivities shops to the lights and decorations hanging on every street corner and house window. But even the Christmas songs and the chilli air that December brought, couldn't make me feel the special vibe. Until last Sunday, and one very much unplanned journey to the Garden Centre in Huntingdon.

When I hear garden centre, the last thing that will come on my mind will be Santa's grotto, ice ring and loads and loads of Christmas decorations, souvenirs, presents, cards and delicious treats. However, after exploring Huntingdon's center on the weekend and experiencing the magic hidden behind its walls, I can say it's one of the best places to go and seek holiday shopping and a nice family day out.

From the moment we entered I felt overwhelmed with joy and excitement. As if from crowded parking lot, we had transfered to a winter wonderland. Bright lights, christmas trees and little santas. The idea was to take Alex  and introduce him to the festive season, but I think I ended having all the fun. I am glad I took the camera, because naturally I wanted to capture every moment. I will leave pictures to telll the story.

From the moment we entered and were greeted by polar bears...

...we went straight into the Christmas fairy tale...

We were exploring the Christmas themes and I was falling in love with all of them. Gold, black, silver, red, green, I wanted everything! The warm, festive glow was bringing this so much needed inspiration and made me want to hurry and start decorating as soon as possible.

A real Chrsitmas wonderland?

Of course, there was a little something for the youngest members of the family, and their first Christmas...

...and loads and loads of lights and sparkle...

I thought I can't get any more festive, but all changed when I saw the food isle of the farm's market... A stream of ideas started flowing in our dad's mind, for Christmas breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between. Duck eggs, jams, cakes, puddings, and wait for it...

That's right, the so favourite CHEESES, were lurring us from behind the glass...

It is deffinitely beginning to look like Christmas!

What was you inspiration?

Happy holidays!
